First 40
The Beneteau First 40 from the famous Farr Yacht Design office has proved itself as the true Cruiser Racer. The First 40 adopts the same thoroughbred appeal as its larger brothers in the new First range (the Beneteau First 45 and First 50), without relinquishing any of the strengths that have made the First 40.7 so successful - 800 sold worldwide and awards galore.
The Beneteau First 40 is a proven winner already. Two brand new FIRST 40s, TWO TRUE and WICKED took the two first places overall under the IRC division in the famous 628 miles Sydney-Hobart Race. They completed the course (between Sydney Harbour and Hobart in Tasmania) in 3 days and 23 hours. Only 20 minutes separated these two FIRST 40s on the finish line. They finished two hours ahead of their third rival on corrected time. TWO TRUE also came first overall in the ORCI class.
Closer to home the Beneteau First 40 won Cowes Week Class 1 in 2010 and has multiple race wins in IRC regattas.
With a growing demand from the Corporate Charter market the First 40 has firmly established itself as the perfect yacht for corporate race charter providing a valuable income for First 40 owners who are looking to offset some of the running costs of yacht ownership.
The First 40 has been awarded Boat of the Year 2010 by Sailing World Magazine for Best Crossover. For more information or to arrange to view the Beneteau First 40 please contact your local Ancasta Beneteau Sales Office.
