Ancasta Algarve is situated in the beautiful Marina de Lagos, directly across the access channel from the historic town of Lagos on the sunny Atlantic coast of Portugal. Lagos Marina is the first Port of Call on rounding Cape St. Vincent for all yachts travelling from northern Europe and heading for the Meditteranean. A well sheltered marina, with direct access to the excellent restaurants and shops in the town, Lagos is one of the most historic towns in Portugal, having been a base for Henry the Navigator and the Portuguese “Discoverers” of the 15th Century. The magic of Lagos is such that many Yachtsmen who arrive here with the intention of sailing to the Meditteranean and beyond, have remained here ever since. Be warned!! A good meeting point is always the Oasis Café, on the Quay in front of the marina at Lat: 37º06'33.8"N Long: 08º40'24.82"W, for a good coffee and a chat.

I am a Yacht Broker, and with the support of my colleagues at Cowes, I represent Ancasta used boat sales in the Algarve, Portugal, where I have been based since 1998. I joined Ancasta in 2006, and operate from the marina in the historic town of Lagos. With more than 25 years of experience in Marine Technology, I am always happy to offer impartial advice to anyone looking to purchase a sailing yacht or powerboat.
