This 45' Van de Stadt Cutter had a major refit in 2004 with all wiring and electronics being replaced, New engine in 2009. A full set of sails added in 2005, completing a massive and up to date inventory. A proven bluewater cruising boat. A set of interior & exterior photographs are available on request.

Owners Comments
Since owning Gallivanter I have sailed in the Pacific, Caribbean and the Atlantic.
I have always sailed the yacht single handed and had no problems with the size of the yacht with regards to seamanship. Some minor changes have been made to allow this to be possible such as having the anchor windlass control switches in the cockpit.
During 2004 there was a refit undertaken in Trinidad, this resulted in almost everything that moves being replaced or serviced.
Although the yacht is a cutter I rarely sailed with both headsails on the same tack and generally used the best headsail for the conditions, except in a downwind run where each headsail was poled out to opposite sides.
