Lagoon introduced the world to flybridge catamaran sailing with the 440 in 2004. The 450 is a much-refined replacement. With a bigger volume, improved styling and more comfort inside and out, the 450 takes the flybridge concept to a new level.
The deck moulding has recessed hatches, cutaway transoms, secure enclosed stairwells and the addition of as sun lounging area “upstairs”. Even the largest of crews can find a space of their own with no less than three cockpits and a dedicated sunbathing space on the roof.
All sail controls are managed from the flybridge, leaving the space below completely clear for entertaining. Those at the helm are never too remote from the crew below: the opening roof over the aft cockpit aids communication and provides a clear view of the stern when reversing.
Solidly constructed in resin infused GRP with a balsa core and with a huge options list, the 450 is a safe, reassuring and adaptable holiday yacht or world cruising home.
The Nauta interior of the 450 comes in a choice of three wood finishes. The saloon has a U-shaped galley facing aft with two fridges or a separate fridge and freezer. Add the optional cockipt fridge and you have plenty of cold storage for long trips. In the owner's hul of the three cabin version there is a really large toilet and shower are forward, a desk and settee area amindships and a big island bed at the stern when the motion is most comfortable at sea. The settee can be replaced with additional storage lockers. The navigation station is forward-facing with panoramic views. FOr motoring or motorsailing in difficult conditions we can add a send set of throttles weith a steering joystick at the nav table.
“Ancasta have been superlative supporters of my Lagoon experience and if I order another it will be with you.” .... "
A Reynard - Owner of a Lagoon 620
Tulu has been a real pleasure to live and sail aboard. Nearly four years and 16,000 miles on, I'm not sure there is much we would change! Ancasta have always been, before, during and after delivery/commissioning most helpful and attentive. We definitely made the right choice. .... "

Graham has worked in the marine industry since qualifying as a marine engineer ’94, after which he ran the yacht sales and charter management division of a large charter company for 13 years.
During this time Graham saw the explosion in popularity of catamaran sailing at first hand, so jumped at the opportunity to specialise in multihull sales for Ancasta in 2007. He has raced and cruised extensively on cats and monos of all kinds and has enjoyed two transatlantic crossings.
Tara joined Ancasta in 1999 and has always represented Ancasta at international boat shows. She joined the Lagoon team in 2004 when the Lagoon 440 was first introduced into the UK market. Since then she has proudly been at all the Southampton Boat Shows when each new model has been introduced, including the 39, 421, 450, 52, 560 and 620 and has personally sold models across the range.
Tara is absolutely passionate about catamaran cruising and has chartered Lagoons in the Caribbean – so a keen fan of the busman’s holiday!
She has also undertaken several delivery trips from Les Sables to Southampton with other members of the team.
Mike Wedge is the brokerage manager for Ancasta Brighton. Having have been on the Lagoon team for a good number of years he has been sailing since he was 4 years old, and since then his involvement with yacht design, tuition and sailing holidays to name a few, have taken him all over the world.
Mike loves the concept of catamaran sailing and considers it a great way to cruise in comfort with space to take all the provisions and toys whilst still having room to relax. He has been on several good delivery trips aboard the Lagoons, including deliveries from the Lagoon factory to Southampton, which always proves an invaluable learning experience and Mike has a very sound and detailed knowledge of the product.
