Launched originally as "Silk Cut", she quickly established herself as the fastest ocean racer on the water and held the 24hr record for a number of years.
In more recent times, she was known as “SEB" and now "Bou Dragon", where she has been meticulously maintained and modernised by her current owner, to offer young sailors a future in the Volvo Ocean Race.
The project, known as "Ocean Races Academy", has seen the boat is well looked after and the refit in 2015/16 was extensive to say the least. The boats new modern look, with plumb bow and improved performance, ensures she can still compete at the top level in offshore races, whilst turning some heads in the process! Exciting charter opportunities in the upcoming Volvo Ocean Race.

Silk Cut was skippered by Lawrie Smith and was sailing under British flag in the Whitbread Round the World Race of 1997-1998. The yacht was the fastest over 24 hours with a total distance sailed of 449,1 miles with an average speed of 18,7 knots. Silk Cut finished 3rd in the Whitbread.
In 2001, Silk Cut was sold to Sweden and sailed as a tune up yacht for Team Seb, skippered by Gunnar Krantz.
After this campaign, Dutch owner Harm Prins purchased the yacht and sailed it under the name of "Pleomax".
