Meet the Lymington team

John Wooldridge

I am a Yacht Broker and member of the Beneteau New Boat Sales team. After running my own brokerage, I joined Ancasta in 1998. Since then, I have worked at Poole, where I started the new and used boat shows at Cobb’s Quay, Hythe, Port Solent and Port Hamble, before recently moving to Lymington..

Mike Hobby

I grew up in Lymington and learnt to sail from an early age which soon became my passion. As a student I owned and sailed on a variety of models before entering the Etchells worlds in Bermuda in the 90’s. Since then I have always sailed, enjoying a Laser SB3, a Beneteau 35 and an Elan 333. For a different kind of adrenaline rush, I owned a rib for six years, with which I explored Britain’s stunning west coast. I have been a member of the Royal Lymington Yacht Club for over 10 years and race regularly on Thursday nights in the summer. With a background in manufacturing marine electronics I worked in the past for Brookes and Gatehouse as the quality assurance manager before travelling the world with a large multi-national company for 14 years researching human cell biology and cancer diagnostics. My heart always remained in yachting and Lymington, and I am now fortunate enough to have joined the highly professional sales team at Ancasta. The future looks bright and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead and to contribute to the success of Ancasta and our customers.
