The long-awaited Lagoon 620 is now in full-scale production with a lead time of around nine months from order to completion.

The 620 comes in a choice of no less that five layouts: galley up or galley down and from three to six ensuite cabins. For maximum sailing performance she can be supplied with Hydranet performance sails, a carbon mast and a carbon canoe boom. Carbon spars on a yacht of this size nearly half a ton in weight! Electric assistance is available everywhere: halyard and sheet winches, furlers, bow thruster and even a pair of mooring capstans.

Any catamaran of this size is naturally roomy, but a huge amount of planning has been applied to ensure the potential of this great space has been optimised in all directions. Where others in her class have a flying bridge, the 620 has a complete sundeck. The shaded aft cockpit below has a wet bar and griddle area for casual outdoor entertaining, with space to seat twelve for lunch.

The vastness of the saloon is emphasised in the "galley down" version, the preferred layout if the yacht has a professional crew. The galley in the port hull has plenty of cooking and refrigeration equipment, a food preparation worktop, a generous array of cupboards and the option for electric air extraction. At the aft end of the galley a sliding door opens directy to the port aft deck. This allows the passage of stores and garbage to and from the yacht without disturbing the guests on board. The same feature is replicated at the aft end of the owner cabin to starboard, further increasing the light and ventilation to the airy accommodation.

The recently introduced "galley up" version places the cooking area to the port side of the airy saloon, making food preparation and dining a more social experience. This creates space in the aft end of the port hull for an extra cabin: a popular choice for charter or larger crews.

By moving one or both of the dining tables to the cockpit you can quickly transform the indoor saloon/dining area into a comfortable lounge. An elecrically raised TV and a high fidelity sound system can of course be fitted. The settee and chaise longue have been designed with proper backrest angles, as you would expect of home furnishings.
