This tidy example of the Elan 31 is well worth viewing. The owners are cruising along the South Coast. Viewing can be arranged at mutually convenient locations.
As keen dinghy sailors, we wanted a small good-looking yacht that sailed well and could be handled by the two of us. The Elan 31 seemed just right, the tiller steering gives plenty of feel and the deck gear layout is good. We have never raced her and have cruised extensively to Holland, North East France and as far as Falmouth. Passage making is generally swift, especially in light airs. The engine drives the boat well and is not too thirsty. She has been a splendid boat and we are very sad to see her go.
