Flares
Well-regarded 40 footer from Jeanneau designed by Daniel Andriel, hitting the mark on performance, styling and creative comfort. Ideal yacht for holidays, leisure cruising and enjoyment.
The Sun Odyssey 40 is a fast, comfortable, well-mannered cruiser that can easily be handled by a couple. Having been wintered ashore since new, Dixie is a well maintained example and in good condition throughout. Her engine has been serviced every spring and has low engine hours. Never raced or rallied. She has made summer cruises to Portugal and Scotland and is accordingly well equipped. This is the Owner's version with teak decks and benefits from an extended galley and cavernous cockpit locker (which would put many larger yachts to shame). During my tenure, I have upgraded/replaced the following: all standing rigging (2015), new rod kicker (2015), new 60amp galvanic isolator (2015), upgrade to dual frequency Navtex (2016), battery management system (2016), new batteries (2016), etc. The large cockpit has a removable all weather table, which can seat 6 persons and the main saloon can be converted to add 3 additional berths if required (1 double + 1 single).
