Founder Frank Nichols had a near fatal experience in the English Channel. After the incident, he started building fast offshore cruisers that would withstand the English channel - Lochin company.
In the 1980’s, the Lochin 33 was used by R.N.L.I. as the basis for the ‘Brede Class’ Lifeboat and served them well for almost 20 years. Due to its seaworthiness and reliability, Lochin were bought for commercial use - pilot’s, police patrol craft, passenger carriers and fishing charter.
'Amazon' has never been used for commercial use, she presents as a true gentleman's day cruiser with full capabilities of getting you home if the weather turns sour. Equipped with cabin heating, fish finder, chart plotter, capstan winch, electric anchor winch, copper coated hull and much more, Well worth viewing.
