PRINCESS V42 with less than 200 hours on her twin Volvo KAD44 260hp diesel engines. Luxurious accommodation with the two cabin layout. We purchased her as the third owner in October 2006 berthed in Bucklers Hard Marina.

Moving her to Sutton Harbour Plymouth immediately we used her in the summer only with holidays and long weekends in the Channel Islands and the adjacent French Coast from St Malo to Cherbourg.

In 2007 we moved her to the Solent, initially in Haslar Gosport, then Bucklers Hard. In 2012 we moved her to Yarmouth IOW where she has been berthed since.

In the Summer of 2016, we spent 5 weeks cruising the South coast from the Solent to Falmouth. From our Yarmouth base, we use her all year round mainly within the Solent.

Charlie 2 is economical, we cruise at 28 knots within the Solent and over the last few years have averaged 47 litres per hour.

For the two of us we find her very comfortable, the D5 Eberspacher keeps her warm even in mid-winter.

The dinghy garage is excellent, able to house our 2.85m Zodiac dinghy fully inflated. An outboard up to 10HP (not included) can be stored alongside the dinghy in the garage.

She is always run with Marine 16 fuel additive to ensure there's never a risk of diesel bug.

She was antifouled with 3 coats of award-winning Seajet 033 in July 2017. In 2007 the hull was cleaned of all old antifouling and for 8 years she only had Teflon based antifouling, now replaced with Seajet 033.

We have maintained Charlie 2 to a high level so whenever anything needed replacing, illustrated by the list of works we have carried out since we acquired her.
