  • Ancasta's office in Port Solent is perfectly situated to service our vendors’ requirements, whether selling or buying. With two full time brokers we are in a great position to cover boats based in the Chichester marinas along with those on Hayling Island and Southsea.

Our office overlooks the whole site at Port Solent and buyers find access to the site through excellent transport links. There is plenty of storage ashore here, especially over the winter, and we also have berths on which we can give brokerage craft excellent exposure.

Port Solent is an 850 berth marina complex with a large and varied selection of bars, restaurants, shops and cinema. It is very popular with first time buyers and experienced boat owners alike, who enjoy it's atmosphere and convenience.

Our office has been firmly established here for nearly 20 years, is open seven days a week and customers are assured of a warm welcome whatever stage they are at in the process.

The moment you list your boat with this office, it is immediately available across our whole network – Falmouth to Brighton, Hamble to S France, Cowes to Palma.

Meet the Port Solent team

James Jopling

James Jopling joined us after working as First Mate on a 25m Sailing Yacht and is a keen sailor and racer “racing anything I can from Fireflies to Beneteau First 40’s to Victories to J92’s”. James holds both sail and power qualifications, having started his sailing career on Cadets where he reached the National Squad and was 5th in the Worlds. Away from the water James has a First Class degree in Business Studies and enjoys music, particularly jazz.

Sam Room

Sam started sailing dinghies from a young age and from that point onwards his passion for being on the water strengthened year after year. During his time at Edinburgh university, Sam was heavily involved in yacht racing and also a member of the team racing club. Prior to joining Ancasta, Sam worked as deck crew onboard a super yacht travelling all over the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Bahamas racking up three transatlantic crossings. As a qualified yacht master, keen kitesurfer and windsurfer, he is at home by the coast and would be delighted to assist in buying or selling your next boat.
