Ancasta Sponsors 2012 Motor Boats Monthly Cruising Club

This season marks the 26th year of Motor Boats Monthly running cruises in company and this year they have put together an exciting itinerary with some beautiful and enjoyable destinations, as well as an extra-special, once-in-a lifetime event to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Ancasta are delighted to be the title sponsors for the 2012 Season. Over many years, cruises and events have been at the heart of the Ancasta ethos: helping new boaters gain confidence in their boat and own seamanship skills, as well as broadening horizons and providing a fun, friendly and social environment for all involved.

In addition Motor Boats Monthly magazine has selected the Prestige 350 flybridge to be its official control boat for 2012 MBM Cruising Club events. The boat will be based in the Solent to lead all the MBM club events this year. During the year the boat will undergo a long term test for the magazine and will be followed by the magazine through production, delivery, commissioning and handover, before featuring in the 3 cruises planned for the season ahead.

Channel Islands Liberation Cruise 4-12 May
For our one-week cruise we head to the Channel Islands and join in celebrations to mark the end of German occupation during the Second World War. It should prove a memorable and no doubt emotional experience. This cruise is perfect for those who are unable to take two weeks out of their busy schedule and those wanting experience crossing the channel. Start/finish Portsmouth

Queens Diamond Jubilee Weekend 1-4 June
We have secured 20 guaranteed berths in St Katharine Docks during the Jubilee weekend. Perfectly placed to enjoy the bank holiday festivities, a special VIP viewing area
will also be laid on to watch the Thames Pageant sail past in all its glory.

North Brittany Cruise 23 June - 7 July
On our two-week cruise we will be visiting numerous ports on the Brittany coast with stops at either end of the cruise in the Channel Islands to take advantage of the cheap fuel. We plan to visit numerous Breton ports, including the historic walled town of St Malo, the picturesque coastal towns of Binic and Paimpol, and the new all-tides marina at St Cast, before heading back to Guernsey for a final fill of low-tax fuel and cruising back across the Channel for home. Start/finish Portsmouth

Boats involved can range in size from 21ft sports boats right up to 60ft+ motoryachts, and we successfully cater for craft with
top speeds ranging from 12 knots to 30 knots or more.
