Last Friday, Ancasta’s MD, Nick Griffith, paid a long overdue visit to the Prestige Factory in Les Herbiers, Western France to catch up on the latest developments and again meet with the Prestige team.
On arrival back in Port Hamble, Nick told us…
“I cannot tell you how impressed I was, both with the scale of the factory and the outstanding quality of its facilities. In my job you see a lot of Yacht building facilities, however the Prestige set up stands out as the most impressive I have seen. Not just the factory but the people, the processes and the boats themselves. The new product development process is extraordinary and explains the industry leading yachts Prestige are producing.
Being taken through both the thought and practical processes applied to future models provided me with a terrific insight into Prestige’s view on how a motor yacht should function. This reinforced my view that Prestige’s presence in the highly competitive UK market will become more prevalent as boat owners become more aware of what this great marque has to offer. Few in the UK are really aware of Prestige’s history and the people that are behind it. They have a great story to tell which we need to share. I am very pleased that Ancasta are working with such a fine organisation. Every existing owner, potential owner and those who are not sure, if able, should take the time to visit the factory to see for themselves. It is very impressive”.
